The first build of my custom Gato line of fighting knives, this is the Tiger model. It’s also my first Damascus build. It’s another one where I learned a lot as I went along. The feathered Damascus billet was made from 1084 and 15N20. The grip was fashioned from my first work with carbon fiber, and it was also the first time I used bolts rather than pins. The scales can be removed and replaced, were it to ever become necessary or desired. This is, by far, the prettiest blade I’ve made to date, and although I originally thought I might sell it to my #1 customer, I decided to keep it. What can I say, I finished it on my birthday.
