NOT FOR SALE
My journey down the path of knife making started with two things. The first, as with many knife makers over the past few years, started with watching Forged in Fire. That show certainly gave me the idea of making blades. I figured I’d start with material removal and then, when I’d learned some skills, move on to forging steel. Then, for Christmas a couple years ago, my wife gave me a knife kit from ManCrates.com. It was a custom knife kit with stacked leather construction.
It took me ten months before I opened it and started working, but once I did, the knife-making hook was pretty much set. I had to grind the tang, and do a fair amount of fine-tuning, Once I was done, I ended up with a really nice blade and stacked leather grip. I used their sheath kit for it (shown below) but now that I’m getting some skills in leathercraft, I’m going to produce a new sheath for it later. I’ll post that once it’s done.
