Well, the Crockpot Ravioli Lasagna is cooking, so I figured I’d chime in on today. Y’all know I give thanks pretty regularly. I’m grateful for every day I wake up, just like my granddaddy taught me. I’m grateful for the opportunities that continue to present themselves to me as I pursue this goal I have.
Today is a day I’ve been taught to make special, to give special thanks, and for starters I’m grateful for having the knowledge that this day is a double-edged sword if there ever was one. I’ll still be thankful, but I’m not ignorant of the historical implications of this day. I do my best to remember that each and every time. It’s a razor’s edge, and I live my life trying to walk that blade without getting cut.
This year I’m grateful I get to have one more of these holidays with both of my parents. I’m grateful for Kathryn S Renta, because she hasn’t killed me yet. I’m grateful for Blood Ties being as well received as it has been, and even more grateful for ALL the people at WordFire who helped make that book and the rest in series the continuing success I think they will be.
Finally, I’m grateful for all the people in my life… my circle of friends, many of whom are authors and who have been so very supportive… and my fans, that short list of people who have read my stuff and enjoyed it enough to want more. Y’all make this hard road easier, and I can’t thank you enough for that.
