The year just keeps getting better and better! I was able to announce a new short story coming out in the new Tales of Ruma anthology not long ago. Then I got to announce “Sol Crystalis Miracalis” going live as the inaugural audio short story on Story Tale Podcast.
Today’s bit of icing on the cake of life, however, comes in the form of one of my novels becoming available on Audible.com. Blood Ties, Book 1 of the Blood War Chronicles as narrated by Charles Kahlenberg, has been months in the making, but now the waiting is over!
I have to admit, I was really happy with the job Bryan Patrick Jones did on my first novel, Chemical Burn, but I’m even more delighted with how Blood Ties turned out. Charles, did a fantastic job and really nailed the Old West feel of Jake, Cole, and even Skeeter.
Working with Charles was a lot of fun, too. We went over a number of details for the book, including pronunciations and getting the feel of each character just right. The final product is something I’m really proud of. I know Charles is too. He did a simply amazing job, and I think fans of audio books are going to truly enjoy his performance.
So, if you are a fan of the Old West, steampunk, and/or fantasy fiction, and you need something to listen to for your next long trip, then you may want to give this little number a try.
