The Blood War Chronicles: Volume One is now available!
Most of you don’t know this, but when I first started writing this series I originally structured it to be a three volume gaslamp epic fantasy. The publisher I was with at the time wanted to release shorter novels (closer to 100k words), so the decision was made to split volume one up into two books, Blood Ties and Blood Curse, which is why Blood Ties ends with that edge-of-the-seat cliff-hanger in San Francisco. I then restructured the entire series to be six books: Blood Ties, Blood Curse, Blood Oath, Blood World, Blood Brothers, and Blood War.
However, I still intend to provide the series as it was originally intended— namely, three volumes. To this end, I am now launching The Blood War Chronicles: Volume One and will be releasing each volume as each subsequent pair of books is released.
As of today, Volume One is available on Amazon in a Kindle edition. I also intend to produce both a trade paperback and a hard cover edition later this summer, but seeing as there aren’t any conventions going on this year, the need for physical copies hasn’t been as critical as the other projects I’m currently working on.

War is coming.

The Blood War Chronicles: Volume One, comprised of the novels Blood Ties and Blood Curse, encompasses Act 1 of the Third Demon War. This epic saga in three volumes spans worlds and pits gods, demons, dragons, vampires, and fey folk against one another in a contest for supremacy.
It is the first saga written in the Shadowgate Tales universe, but it will not be the last.
