February 1st Newsletter – Sushi Rolls at Home

Hey, this is the third back-to-back-to-back newsletters… one every two weeks. And that’s my intention for the coming year. Hopefully I’ll have a new recipe or knife project or both with every go-around. Plus, there will always be all the great stuff going on with both my personal writing and what’s happening at Eldros Legacy.

So, in January we gave away Khyven the Unkillable for free. February is all about Rhenn the Traveler, Book 3 in Todd’s Legacy of Shadows series. It’s currently available for pre-order, and it goes live on February 7th. Rhenn marks the first “complete” trilogy in the Eldros Legacy world. Having said that, you need to be aware that all of our series, all of our books, everything we do is all part of a much larger story where mortals must once again vie for power over the Giants who once ruled the world. It’s an epic saga, with an epic ending… but you’ll have to get there to appreciate the grandeur of what we’re building.

Yes, you can make sushi at home…

Most people I know love sushi. Few actually make it themselves because they think it’s either too much trouble or it’s too much of a learning curve. For my part, I love sushi enough that I was willing to sort through the finer details to be able to make it at home. What I’ve discovered is that it’s not nearly as hard as most people think. With a little practice, you can be making at least sushi rolls at home with almost no trouble at all.

This week I’ve posted a spicy tuna roll recipe that I like to think you’ll find is just a matter of following the steps. Granted, getting the roll “just right” can take a few attempts, but once you get it, you’ve got it for life. And the results can be SOOOO satisfying. So, check out my spicy tuna roll recipe, and keep in mind that there will be seared tuna recipe included in the next newsletter. Last fall I went on a deep-sea fishing trip and brought home some yellowfin tuna, and I’m putting it to good use.

    1. So, that’s a really good question. I know it’s been a while, and that’s on me. A lot of things have got in the way, most of them having to do with projects that had greater earning potential. That’s on me, too. HOWEVER, I have not forgotten Jake, Skeeter, and Cole. I have a book to wrap up here in the next couple of weeks, and I plan on tackling book 4 of the Blood War Chronicles. I think I’ve found a way to get more people interested in those books, and it has to do with a new hobby/business I’m going to be pursuing. You know Cole’s Bowie knife? Well, I’m going to become a bladesmith and then make that knife. It’s a small thing compared to the writing of a book, but I think I can get more people interested in the series. That will make it easier to finish. And all this will be in preparation for writing Skeeter’s story later on… with more reasons to make knives… or swords, in her case.

I can’t thank you enough for asking this question. I needed to hear it. It’s been hard writing stuff and not getting as much traction as I’d like. But that’s no excuse. I’ll finish the series, and specifically because I owe it to readers like you. THANK YOU for keeping me on my toes.
