Today my eighth novel sees the light of day!!
Forging Destiny, the sequel to Reclaiming Honor and also co-written with Marc Alan Edelheit in his Last War universe, is a coming-of-age tale featuring a young dwarf ostracized by his people.
Tovak Stonehammer has lived with his father’s dishonor for decades. A veritable whipping post, he has struggled to survive amongst his people, the Dvergr. In all this time, and from one suffering moment to another, he has been driven by two things, an unwavering faith in the great dwarven god Thulla, and the desire to serve his people. His people are on the run, desperately seeking a means of escaping the Horde, a massive army of evil that has conquered one world after another.
Now, it seems, there is a glimmer of hope on the horizon. A great keep hidden in a high mountain valley may hold the key to his people’s salvation: an escape route through which they might just be able to evade the Horde. They don’t know where it is, let alone how to open it, but they believe it’s up there, in a guarded valley shrouded in ancient mystery.
And now, it seems, Tovak is beginning to manifest powers he does not understand… powers that frighten him. He cannot comprehend what is happening to him, or where it will take him. All he knows is that he will press forward, strong in his faith for the great god Thulla, and he will serve his people whether they accept him or not.
