New mental challenges to face these days… shadows of doubts to slay with mettle and savvy and wisdom. There’s always something, and I suppose these weren’t that unexpected. They even came from the right source. It’s a wild, wacky business I picked, and like everyone else, I’ve ended up tossed about like flotsam within a maelstrom, wrestling with creativity, opinion, professionalism, standards, rules, “the formula,” cliques, politics, and critics. It’s no wonder so many people don’t go the distance in this business. But as always, I am undaunted and taking risks (which is my nature) with a healthy dose of as much common sense as I can muster, particularly when it comes from external sources.
